Arena months versus rated history: do not mix the corpus
A month of arena chess will drown the habits you are actually trying to study. Split rated games from carnival months before you trust a report.
Arena and swiss-burst games change your opponent pool and your clock. Chessigma can only report the file you imported. Import the slice you want to train.
Carnival chess is a different sport
You take more speculative sacrifices when the pairing is a blender. Those games are real, and they are not your Tuesday rapid.
If last month was an arena binge, a silent report on your rated file is more useful than a loud report on the mix.
Re-import after the binge
The public preview reads 80 games; a saved import reads 200. After an arena month, start a fresh import of rated games so the newest corpus is the one you drill.
Frequently asked questions
Can I study arena leaks on purpose?
Yes. Import only those games and say so. Do not let them rewrite your opening tree for rated play.
What about unrated casual?
Leave it out unless the question is “what do I play when nothing is at stake?”
